For the 2024 Global Game jam I was in a group of 5 and we spent the weekend making this game.

The theme being bubbles we decided to create a puzzle based platformer cantered around an axolotl whose able to absorb liquids to create a bubble around themself.

I created a majority of the mechanics within the game such as the bubble creation mechanic. This mechanic allowed the player to go up to a blob of water and press their interact key to create a bubble around themself. However, dependant on the type of water determined how the bubble would look like. This was achieved by lerping between all the colours stored within the player at a given time. Furthermore we had puzzles that could only be done based on the primary colour of the bubble at a time. That was achieved by basing the primary liquid on the percentage of liquid stored at a given time compared to the rest of the liquids.
